Matsui's Water-Based Discharge System offers four distinct discharge binders, three formaldehyde based discharge binders for use on 100% cotton dischargeable fabrics with reactive dyes, and a discharge binder for indigo dyed fabrics and denim.  When using this system we recommend 80-160 mesh using a squeegee of 60-80 durometer, depending your choice of lay-down. The stencil should be od a  water proof direct emulsion or capillary film for optimal performance. It is highly recommended to wash and dry garments or fabrics before packaging and shipping.

Substrates;

Matsui's Water-Based Discharge System was developed for 100% cotton.

Available Product;

Brite Discharge Base - Discharge System for reactive dyes. This is an excellent, highly pigmented brighter discharge system.

DSPS Binder - Discharge System for reactive dyes. DSPS contains formaldehyde in the Discharge Agent. This is an excellent, highly pigmented discharge system.

DSM-2 Binder - Discharge System for reactive dyes. DSM-2 contains formaldehyde in the Discharge Agent. It can be used with or without pigments.

PRINTGEN 801 Binder - Formaldehyde free discharge system for indigo dyed and denim fabrics.

PRINTGEN OP30-PS - Burnout System for poly/cotton blend fabrics. Printgen OP30-PS dissolves the cotton fibers in the fabric leaving only the polyester fibers behind. The Printgen OP30-PS produces great looking 3-D and See-through effects on fabrics.

FIXER N - An ECO-friendly, formaldehyde free fixing agent that improves wash fastness in all Matsui Discharge Systems. Can be mixed 2-3% (by weight) into any Matsui Water Based ink.

FIXER F - This is a formaldehyde free fixing agent that greatly improves wash and crock fastness. Add 2-3% (by weight) into any water based ink. Easy to use with a pot life of 8-12 hours.

Drying;

Matsui Water-Based Discharge System ink must be heat cured for 2.5 - 3 minutes at 300 to 320 degrees F.

Modification;

Mix 10% or less pigment with 100% discharge binder making sure to mix pigment into binder before mixing in the Discharge Agent. Discharge Agent should be mixed 10% into 100% discharge binder (by weight). Fixer N can be added to improve wash fastness. Use water and mild soap to wipe screens, screen frames and squeegees and any surfaces in contact with ink.
