Monoplak UV Series is a fast curing, multi-purpose system designed for screen printers for a variety of substrates. Know through Europe for its excellent durability, very good flexibility, and ideal for semi-automatic, carousel, and in-line presses, With Monoplak you are also guaranteed that there are no voluntary additions of heavy metals during the production process. Monoplak is the choice of many UV printers because this series is NVP free and does not contain N-Vinyl-2-Pyrrolidone (NVP). For non-halftone printing plain weave or twill weave mesh can be used in mesh counts ranging from 180 to 420. This series is available in gallons only.
Substrates;
Monoplak is suitable for printing on the following substrates; styrene, rigid acrylic and vinyl, PETG, HDPE, clear polycarbonate, card-stock, and Coroplast ®.
.
Process Colors;
Monoplak Process Colors are available in matte or gloss finishes that comply with the Process Color Range. These colors confirm to the EEC and Safety of Children's Games Standard EN-71/3, dated April 1989. With Monoplak you can expect low dot gain and minimal friction drag while maintaining optimum color balance with negligible shift throughout the print run. While using process colors we recommend using plain weave mesh counts and a thin stencil coating, thus minimizing the ink coating and any dot gain.
Curing;
Actual cure speeds will vary depending on ink-color chosen, mesh count/weave, type of UV lamp/settings, and other printing parameters that effect ink-film thickness. Ink adhesion can only be achieved if the ink film is adequately cured. Substrates having differing receptivity to UV ink and on certain rigid or colored materials, it may be necessary to cure ink more effectively to achieve satisfactory adhesion.
Modification;
This ink series is ready to use, however, if required it is possible to adjust the viscosity by adding DILMPGA (MPG Thinner) but no more than 2 to 10% by weight.
