At Screenworks Supply we offer a broad selection of screen printing fabric that ranges from 45 inches to 110 inches wide. For the purpose of our web site we have chosen two of our most popular widths, 52 inch and 62 inch. All our fabric is sold by the yard and we offer additional discount on our Mini-Bolts and on full bolts. Should you require additional width fabric please contact our sales staff at 1-800-551-5524 or simply email us at sales@screenworkssupply.com.
Data Facts:
All of our fabric are ran through a cleaning bath after weaving. At the same time, the fabric is drawn through a tenter frame to dry. At this point, it is critical not to over-stretch the fabric. Heat setting is also a very important part of the fabric producing process. The fabric is run through a heated chamber which sets the fibers in precise configuration into which they were woven and gives added dimensional stability. The heat setting process secures the thread count, mesh opening consistency and establishes final fabric thickness.
Inspection:
Every bolt of fabric is inspected. This quality control stage monitors consistency of manufacture and is also a final check for stop marks, broken ends, missing threads, and soiled fabric. When the fabric meets the rigid processing specifications it is tagged, wrapped, and ready for shipment.
Mesh Preparation:
Before coating your screens make sure the fabric is clean. At Screenworks Supply we offer biodegradable screen degreasers with and without abraders. For use with direct emulsion non-abrading degreasers should be used. When using stencil films, use a abrading degreaser specifically recommended for this purpose on the new mesh once. Once reclaimed for additional use, non-abrading degreaser should be used from that point on. Do not use abrasive household cleansers as these will damage and weaken the fabric threads. Remember, for every screen you make, degrease and thoroughly dry the fabric before applying the emulsion or film, or direct/indirect film.
